I hope you are still pleased with SolP? Are the D8K to be sold? Are you taken by the SolP? Im trying to find a second third hp at the moment. Immanis will stay forever, but trying my lucky with LCD4 vrs Abyss ... maybe the best hp win and remain in the collection. I love the Abyss, but too many aspects drive me nuts... but they may still stay lol.

Try OG Utopia you own an amp with UL / TR modes, possibly the best way to experience this hp.

HAHAHA!!! YOU!!! If i had a bit more cash i would! Tonight i got The Holo Red streamer talking to HQPlayer upsampling to 1536KHz whilst running HQPlayer on my big boy PC. The GFX card is twiddling its digits encoding audio, doing oversampling and noise shaping... i also tried at DSD1024 and both are flawless not even a sniff of a dropout and all on wired network. The sound is exceptional but ive not settled on filters yet and thats days of play. Hearing the backgrounds of songs as holographic layering is just beautiful. Im really quite taken with the May set up like this. I just want to find the party headphone now and be settled. I wish we lived close enought to have a listen. I like to hear what accuphase does to them!

I tried some of the songs suggested on the Immanis thread - the SolP got a different dimension than I was used to. Next step is to check how it takes 10 dB bass boost.

A slight tangent ... I used to love the OG Empyrean when it first came out, and I always wanted a bigger and better performing Empy ... Elite was a letdown for me (it's a great headphone don't get me wrong, but it wasn't a better Empy I was hoping for) ...

... Sol P is my big boy Empyrean just wish it had the build and comfort of Meze but nothing is perfect

Thats my first EQ on the LCD4, +10db lol ... get me to Abyss levels and beyond Honestly, ask me three years ago if i would spend insane money on headphones and the answer was absolutely not ... now i dont bat an eyelid LOL! But it needs to slow down now!!

Nah I don't use it normally, I had 2 beers and was in the mood for some dirty techno bangers it's not muddy even on +5

Dirty techno bangers LOLOLOL! Those are the headphones for it LOL! They do play clean and LOUD!

I did and my TC is listed in classified. Its on the same level imo but Sol P for me personally is more versatile. It could also be that after 4 years of TC ownership I gravitate towards a slightly different signature. Each to their own tho.

Did you find TC has better imaging and clarity? I did a shootout on a dcs bartok and found that. But solitaire is still good.

I think the two are semi-related, and yes those are two facets of the TC I thought they did great at. But the tonality was so dry and one-dimensional vs the Sol P.

Plus, the Sol P is tuned darker comparatively. If you listen for a while, you'll hear the clarity is there, it just isn't spot-lit like the TC. All-in-all the Sol P is the much better-rounded can IMO.
