Symphonium Audio - New Singaporean IEM Manufacturer
Mar 14, 2024 at 12:33 PM Post #198 of 221
Hey guys, just wanted to share the news that following the overwhelmingly positive feedback from CanJam NYC, the tuning of the Titan has been finalized.
That is to say, there won't be any further changes to sound from the Demo at CanJam NYC.

If anything, we will just be fine tuning the manufacturing process and getting ready the other miscellaneous stuff prior to launch.

Our design philosophy has always been audio first from the start.

Unfortunately this means that we have to accept several technical limitations in order to achieve the standard of sound that we want.
Which is why most of our IEMs designs are relatively low impedance and low sensitivity; thus a bit hard on lower powered sources and/or sources not optimized for low impedance. So TLDR it's not that we don't want our IEMs to be higher impedance and easily drivable; its just not possible without compromising sound in the process and that's not a compromise we want.

Some of our quality engineering can be seen through measurements, as in the case of FLAT (our linear impedance tech).
We invite anyone to independently measure our IEMs with FLAT technology (Storm, Crimson, Helios, Triton) for linear impedance, as a few in the community already have.
Iā€™m in for the launch. Looking forward to it.

What DAP and USB dongle sources do you suggest pairing with Titan?

I personally like Questyle M15 if Iā€™m looking for a more relaxed listen (I know, I know :dt880smile:). Iā€™m testing the Acoustune AS2002 now and really like the mids and bass.

Can you two stop making me excited? Iā€™m already excited enough that Crimson is coming my way to review
It's about time! Looking forward to what you think about them.

Per the apple website: APP2 uses a "Custom high-excursion Apple driver"

Heaven forbid they use an orange one.

Drivers and driver specs mean nothing without knowledge of the implementation, which is typically not shared for plenty of reasons. Using your ears is much more effective. Typically

Do they have independent volume control? I've never seen anyone mention the new acoustone single anywhere.

Yup! There are volume controls at the side. It controls the device volume.

Sounds amazing on Crimson! Spacious, sparkly, and musical. I'm wondering if people might find this one too bright though(I don't, but I can see how someone might). Looking forward to impressions and reviews of Titan. It's definitely one of the more interesting upcoming IEMs.

Thanks!

I use the RS6 and FiiO BTr7 - they paired quite well with the Titan when I tried it at CanJam.

I love ODEZA, brings me back to my university days when I was chugging along Aussie roads in my GT86 and feeling like I'm driving out of Forza.

Anyway, if you like ODEZA the Titan will basically blow your socks off lol.
Crimson ain't no slouch either but can be a lil spicy up top.

Working on Crimson review.

Laser sharp precision from top to bottom, spacious stage. ā€œDisappearingā€ tonal balance. Itā€™s my jam.
