Sweet looking new YBA Design YC201 CD Player

No, the Sony and the Pioneer are SACD players playing SACDs. I have at least 4 albums that I have copies of the earlier Red Book CD and I later purchased SACD versions (hybrid). When I play a Red Book CD in the YBA and the SACD version in either Sony or the Pioneer and A/B, trying to keep the volumne level the same, I can NOT hear any perceptible difference. When I was using a Audio Refinement (on loan) I could hear some difference but not a great deal.
Now let the flaming begin.

I doubt there will be any flaming, it seems like you and I are the only people reading this thread

Can you speak more about the redbook versus redbook performance?

The sound from the YBA (RBCD only of course) is more detailed and less fatiguing. I have not been able to get alot of listening time in yet and that has been 90% headphones. I am happy with the purchase so far, but the remote is extra and that sells for more than a hundred dollars.
Anyone interested in purchasing this or any other CD player, I would highly recommend an in home trial.

Nice looking player.

Noticed that it's specs indicate only 1.35V output - a bit lower than the 2V standard we typically see. Does that have an effect on amplification?

avraham,

How did it turn out with this YBA YC201? Would you mind sharing your experience and thoughts with this CD player?

By any chance, did you happen to also pick up the YA201 matching Integrated Amp?

This player was reviewed recently in one of the major magazines in the last few months - it was given a general thumbs-up, but not without a few reservations. Good for the price. Pretty, though...
