People on this forum know quite a bit about cables. So I will ask you this question: Can you tell me your suspicions on what's inside the 3 HD600 replacement cables: Equinox, Cardas and Clou?
Of course, the manufacturers DO NOT give out all the details. But you do, after a while, have your own opinions on wire gauge, insulation and construction details. So I would like you to post your suspicions.
Here's my own suspicions...
--4 wires (2 per side).
--30 AWG copper wires from the neck to headphones.
--22 or 24 AWG from the neck to the plug.
--Copper purity: 6/9s (.999999).
--Teflon insulation.
--Copper Mesh--like Canare or Mogami microphone wire for grounding purposes.
