Which headphone is consider the pinnacle of Koss? Pro 4AAA? Regardless of price point that is.

They also made an electrostatic that normally sells for around 4 times as much as the 4AAA.
Never heard any of them though

The ESP950.

So ESP950 and 4AAA are consider the greatest? Was told 4AAAT was only so-so...

These's another model call ESP250 which are consider good too? How's the modern DJ100? Seems like mix opinion.

I have had some of the old electrets, nice detail, but lack bass. the pro4aa was very popular but sounds wonky by todays standards. the pro4aaa (vintage) is ok but still kind of dull by modern standards. the hv1a is a very nice vintage open air can.

for modern koss, i like the pro4aaat best (still have it). the dj100 has the most modern, consumer friendly sound

most koss cans need a good amp

Nice :) so you prefer pro4aaat over DJ100? I dunno why people are bashing pro4aaat...are they really that bad? I have heard good things on pro4aaat though.

The pro4aaat is very good compared to most other headphones of the same generation - compared to modern headphones and 'vintage' headphones from 10 years after it's time, it falls behind technically in almost all regards.
Sometimes people will over-react about how good something is without putting things into perspective.

If you're into vintage gear it should be pleasantly surprising. If you're going to compare it to modern stuff you'll be disappointed.
