Sub questions

B&W's old Ported 15" ASW-3000 can kick most subs asses, and it's only 300W, it is a very muscular sub, but hard to come by since it's discontinued for like 2 years. Velodyne subs (HGS) tend to be boomier than you'd like (10" in the deep end), but are very good subs otherwise, they have amazing output.

Just one comment neither here nor there. I would rather have a *good* 10" sub than a lousy 15" sub, even if I had a huge room. I just love PSB speakers, the value is insane you can't go wrong, you know it will integrate well with your existing system. Cheers.

Here, here, I cannot stand boomy subs. I really just want to extend the apparent low frequency extension of my Alphas, so quickness is obviously a must. I think that I will probraly go for a PSB Subsonic 5. I know where I can get one now for a really good price. Thank you all for your informative responses. PB
