Podectomize iM716, put 40 ohm or so resistors between and you will love them. ER6i are not that good, I have owned them.

how would you rate the im716 pre-podectomy? I would like to not alter them for a long while... maybe sometime down the road i will customize them but I just like things to be pristine for as long as i can keep it that way. How is the stock im716 compared to the ER16i?

Also the UE super.fi 4 just came out and a good bit smaller than other super.fi

I had the version 1 v-moda vibes until the cabling split apart. To replace them, I got the UM1's.

So far, my impressions is that the vibes sound slightly better with a wider frequency range. The UM1's are still too warm for me and I wish they had better and more extended highs.
