Try feeding the TA with the line out from your home CDP. If the 4S doesn't get loud enough with that you need to check either your equipment or your ears

When I use my cd deck to my stereo amp and tape out from my stereo amp to my supreme the er4p plus adapter works find at about 12 oclock volume. I bought a radio shack extention 6' and plug my adapter into it then my er4p to my supreme and stereo amp and can enjoy the er4s sound. Its when I use my mini disc and adapter plus the total airhead that I cant get enough volume for portable use. I e-maild fixup and toald them about this.

The radio shack extention cable is gold pladed on both ends and is a good cable. It cost 12.00
