I was about to order, since I’m looking for a DSD-capable alternative to Wiim and the price is very attractive, until I noticed the (easy to miss) asterisk about Roon Ready certification. I know it’s impossible to say with any certainty, but do you have any sense of a timeline for certification or how far along into the process you are?

Would I be able to stream Tidal from an Android?

Ahh….I was eagerly awaiting for it to support Chromecast Audio just like WiiM but it missed the train.

Chromecast Audio + Air Play 2 + DLNA = Wireless Streamer Basic for Non Roonian Population.

I understand Fiio may never able to develop WiiM like companion App, but it is ok if they cover the basic.

Hi, is there any plan to release a black version? I have a black K11 and I would love to do a mini stack with matching device colour.
I was wondering about the same thing for the upcoming DP13 since it looks like it will use the same design language.

Thank you in advance for your reply!

Hello, I hope you're enjoying the weekend and doing great. I've been using the K9 AKM, and I like it and the Bluetooth is very convenient, but it lacks SQ compared to wired. So, I'm looking into adding the SR11 and wanted to know if there are other options and if it supports Qobuz, and if there is a black color version?

Also, I anxiously waiting for the BTR7 replacement.

Yes, we will produce both silver and black versions in the next batch of mass production. And under normal circumstances, our products will include a black version.

We have contacted streaming media suppliers such as TIDAL, SPOTIFY, QOBUZ, and they have stopped opening API interfaces to third parties. So we cannot directly integrate them into SR11, but users can still use these music apps on their phones through AIRPLAY or DLNA and deliver audio to SR11.

It should be noted that due to the current confusion of the DLNA protocol, after a long period of testing and improvement, we still cannot meet our standards. And we have also tested products from other brands, and the situation is the same.

So, in order to avoid disputes and complaints, we cannot open DLNA at the factory to avoid complaints due to the instability of DLNA. However, in my personal experience, the main issue with DLNA on SR11 currently is the small issue of unsynchronized song selection after prolonged playback.

Therefore, if users are not particularly concerned or do not frequently use DLNA for continuous playback for a long time, they can request firmware that supports DLNA to update themselves through customer service. We hope this is an additional non promised feature provided beyond the selling price.

In this way, we will not mislead users because we hope that the main features supported by our sales page are stable and usable, or at least we have confidence that we can solve them technically in the future.

In addition, DLNA is a very complex protocol, not only for audio, but also for video projection functions collected by Android. However, based on my personal experience, brands like Huawei, Samsung, and Xiaomi with tens of thousands of engineers cannot guarantee stable work. So we don't have much confidence in solving this problem.

Moreover, screen mirroring on mobile phones is not a core and important feature, but for streaming music receivers like SR11, this is the core feature, so we must consider being more cautious.
