Any of you guys seen the latest issue of Stereophile? Sam Tellig closes his column with comments on the Acoustic Research HT-130 interconnect.

He state's that "I won't tell you that this interconnect is the best I've ever used, but it might be as good as you need..."

Directional, balanced-line, oxygen-free copper cable with precision-machined, gold-plated connectors.

Grab a copy of the April issue of Stereophile and read what Sam has to say. This sounds like a deal similar to the Philips 963DA.

The dealers don't want you to know about a bargain like this...maybe. Could be crap, but at 20 bucks a pop, I'll give 'em a try.

I just ordered a few pairs to check out!

Wow, it really seems like alot of giant killers have been born recently... Those, the 963sa, the bogdan cables, the gilmore, etc.

I might try 'em out too, if i get around to it

Also, while you've got the issue, is markl's letter in it?

I got those, and the sound is real nice, similar, or even better, to some more expensive in performance. www.partsexpress.com has a sale right now on them, 19.00 or so for the 6 footer, a little bit longer for my taste, so I cut them to 6 inches and the performance is very good....they are not new, actually they are being replaced for a more expensive one (the pro series) and in most of the places are on sale now.........if for any reson you do not like them, just let me know I will get them from you

Thanks for clearing that up, Sovkiller! I paid $19.00 a pair too, however, from a different source. I'm just curious to see if these are indeed the bargain they're being hyped to be...

Sorry guys, I think I made a mess, checking again I realize that the ones you have in that first picture is the HT Pro (the one on sale for 19.00 part number 180-872) the new replacement in the stores is called HT Pro II (part number 181-846) very similar just another color, and the more expensive is the Master Series (part number 181-778) which has locking RCA plugs very nice indeed, but about 69.00 for the 6 footer....
All are included in the Parts Express inventory just do a search in audio cables there

John, if you ordered the RCA to RCA Audio Cables (HT130), they are the Pro Series cables. The HT130 is the HT130...

That's the only model number for the cables mentioned in Stereophile, and that's what this thread is about!
