Just finished eating this Delicious Ribeye steak off my BBQ grill. A little salt, pepper, and marinated with worchester sauce. Yum.

And I recently had this fabulous tri-tip marinated with cranberry/pineapple juice sauce. Finger-licking good.

And this is the best prime rib in the area as well as a local creation, "rib chop." Deadly good

I must admit, ribeye is my favorite steak to put on the grill. The thickness is just perfect for hitting the ever so perfect consistency. And the taste is to die for on a charcoal grill!

I must say though, that's a thick ribeye!

Jon,

Where's the Rib Chop restaurant found? Since I live here I'd love to know where I can try that out.

It's Sycamore Inn

I don't think it's all that close to you, but most people stop by when they are by the 10/15 Fwy area on the way to Vegas

By far much better prime rib than say Lawry's in Beverly Hills.

Oh, another great thing about the place is there is no wine corkage fee if you bring a bottle that's not on their wine menu (available on their website)!!

haha interesting that this pops up. my cousin is taking me to Alexander's Steakhouse in Cupertino, CA tomorrow evening. For those of you who don't know, it is a restaurant which sells high-end steaks. i'm not sure what i want to try, but it sounds delicious. i've never had it before but am very much looking forward to it.

anybody here eaten there before and have an item to recommend? i'm thinking the porterhouse or maybe the Kobe steak, if i'm feeling up for it

here's the site to check it out and look @ the menu: http://www.alexanderssteakhouse.com/

kobe steaks are overrated really. The best way to enjoy a kobe for me is raw or light simmered.

I did a 1.75" thick ribeye on my new grill yesterday. Kosher salt, cracked black pepper, and some good extra-virgin olive oil. Sear both sides well, then finish on indirect heat. (The steak took nearly 30 minutes to cook to barely medium). Serve with a nice green salad and sauteed mushrooms.

Love Ribeye!!!

When I go out and eat steak, my favorite place is The Texas Roadhouse. In my case, they have been by far the most consistantly great steak of any restaurant.

Amen! I've had better, but you can't beat them for the price and convenience.
