just got my new Stax 2170 nice... now it seems the fuse is broken as the amp does not power on and I can hear that there is a loose part inside the amp. I tried to remvove the four obvious screws two on the front and two on the back panel and one at the bottom... can not slide it out by pushing the rear. Do I need to remove the volume button? if yes....mmm.. how do I do that. Any help is appreciated probably very simple but cant figure it out...Thanks

OK figured it out... screws are hidden under the feet..... fuse seems broken. Wow I bought it NEW in Japan at a Biccamera store and the fuse comes broken, unbelievable considering I have plenty of 100v transformers, it was definitely not me blowing the fuse. Probably faulty PSU.
Have to figure out how to change the fuse now. Soldering involved not sure I want to dothat myself...any advice appreciated (or link towards other threads)...Already ordered a new 12v adapter negaitive polarity.
