My SRM-717 is experiencing a issue which leads it does not work properly. I would like to ask if anyone has any idea what's the problem, and how do I repair it?

The problem appears as following. When I turn it on it works perfectly for 2~7 mins and suddenly it does not output any sound signals, The power light still on, it just do not give out any sound. It also does not work even I turn it off and on again.

However, after a couple of hours it starts to work again, and after 2~7 mins problem repeats.

My friend tell me that the most possible reason is the relay gets old and does not work properly. If you have any idea please let me know...

EDIT: Fixed. Turn everything off from the source. All plugs, power bars, etc. Plug all of your audio cables in properly, make sure all volumes set to 0. DAC should not be altering volume at least to start, make sure the switch at the back of SRM-717 is set to RCA (or XLR if necessary). Make sure output on DAC is set to unbalanced/RCA. Then power on 717 last. Turn up volume on PC or whatever is sending digital to your DAC to near full or full. Turn up volume using the SRM-717 volume knob as desired. No more switching off. That's likely the SRM-717 protecting itself & the earspeakers.
Good times. SRM-717 is legendary.
