I'm not too worried about the stators though I have seen them tarnished but it is the few connecting bits that will be trouble and these are very small and hard to repair properly.

Well, isopropyl alcohol is an easy enough place to start, but it depends how serious we're talking about I guess.

The SR-Omega box is not made of balsa plywood, but paulownia.
