Stax and Dynamic Rig Owners: How much head-time on each rig?

Just curious how many of you own both a stats rig (with let's say something like the 009 and commensurate amp) and a dynamic rig (with let's say something like HD800/LCD-3/HE-6 and commensurate amp)?  Do you give considerably more time to one or the other?  
 
For those of you who acquired a stats system even though you were happy with your dynamic system, did you have to sell the latter in order to fund the former?  And if so, do you regret doing so?  If I end up listening to one system >80% of the time, it doesn't seem like it's worth keeping the other (assuming each system is >$5000).

I kept my dynamic setup when I added my stax setup. I would say I listened to the stax 90% of the time over the dynamic setup. I want to keep both. You never know when an ortho/dynam. headphone will come out that will be better than stax.

My Stax setup is also my dynamic setup. I must say that it varies

 
But I also have a lesser dynamic setup in another room where I can lay down, and I would say that rig gets a disproportionate amount of head time because of this.

I have both a SR-009 and a HD800, but these days SR-009 gets all my head time...

The disparity isn't all that disproportionate with me and each headphone caters to a particular set of genres/artists. My Stax setup gets about 30%, with the various dynamics/orthos getting 70%. I find myself reaching for the HD800 almost as often as the SR007, and the HE6, were it not for logistical difficulties, would be used just as often. If I'm in the mood for acoustic, instrumental or vocal jazz it's all Stax. Orchestral and ambient goes to the HD800 with some sharing of acoustic albums, and the HE6 are particularly lovely with well-recorded classic and indie rock. My T1's, LCD-2 and AD2000's are primarily used for modern rock (think Sufjan Stevens, The National, Flaming Lips). The AHD-7000 and HD650 are sadly in the closet of banished gear. I'd like to add an SR009 to my stable, which I believe will catapult most of the others into the F/S thread.

I had the chance to compare a 007mk2 to 009 and HD800, and I think I would find myself reaching for the HD800 every time over the SR-007mk2... I was not impressed at all by the SR-007mk2, but reading the various threads on head-fi would indicate the mk1 beats the mk2 by a mile

I own(ed) both.  I was happy with my dynamic rig and enjoyed a few of the "low end" stats I had.  
 
I decided to put together a more serious stat rig.  I had listened to a lot of stat gear so I had some ideas on what I wanted to try.  
 
I did not need to sell anything, but as my listening has moved almost completely to the electrostatic stuff I started to get rid of my dynamic stuff.  I do plan to get rid of most of it at this point.
 
Keeping both, or a large collection of headphones and amps for that matter is a very personal decision.  I don't see a right or wrong answer on this sort of thing, just opinion... this is mine.

It's about break even for me but most of my time these days revolve around iems as I'm on the go most of the time. See my profile too see what I have. I find dynamic and ortho headphones good for some reference material but for mainly musical and fun listening. Stats on the other hand for just purely reference material matter or high quality well mastered stuff for some genres. But I've yet to find a stat that can do metal or rock better than the few Grados I have listened to.

I am wrestling with this dilemma lately. I gave up my HD800 and K1000 for an SR-009. I love them, and I can see how the 009 spoils one for all other headphones, they are amazing. I totally understand why one would give up on all the others. But I'm not sure that I'm ready to do that.

As i see it, the only dynamic pair worthy being in O2/SR009's presense would be the K1000, That's beacuse they're actally earspeakers by design (and very good at that).

I have Stax (several), Senn HD800, Koss elecrostatics, Audeze LCD-3.  The LCD-3 gets almost all the listening.  More body than the Stax, more realism than others, lower distortion.  Every time I go to another headphone for an album, when I return to the LCD I end up saying "more like music".  I listen live to a lot of classical and jazz, and I'm trying to duplicate that sound at home.  Lighter, ethereal sound of 009 sounds very interesting, like sound coming from thin air, but I have to say they don't sound like real music to me.  In some ways some lesser Stax sound more like real music.  But nothing does it for me like the LCD-3.
 
Oops, I guess I'm supposed to be comparing electrostatic to dynamic.  OK, Sennheiser HD800 would be the one I reach for over stats, due to the "solidity and substance" I hear that I don't hear in the stats.

Nope, they are dynamic. They were usually connected to the speaker outputs of a regular hi-fi amp though.
