Guys i have a weird issue with the sound produced from my headset . I have hippo vb and vsonic gr02 earphones  . When i plugin to the headphone port i can hear static sound / interference when listening to low volume or no music at all . It is annoying and only when i increase the volume the static sound is not noticeable . I have tried 3 headphones and all have this issue with my hp probook . I have tried the same set on my iphone , no static sound there . I have also tried a dac no static sound as well . I have tried this on 2 different oses (windows and mac) and static sound is there

So does this mean that the soundcard on my notebook is cheap and doesn't perform well ? 

Anyone else have a similar issue ? Is there a way to minimize this ?

In my hp 6730b static sound exists but in much lower intensity .

There's either something wrong with your soundcard or the HP Probook just has a noisy output and you're dealing with low impedance sensitive IEM's. If it means anything usually onboard audio found on laptops is pretty basic and isn't really made for obtaining the best audio experience. I would recommend picking yourself up a cheap little USB dac, and while removing any noise also upgrade at the same time away from your onboard audio.

Basically, you don't want to use onboard audio anyway, so I would just forget it's there, start fresh, and look at it like a sign from the audio gods. Even the cheaper Creative SoundBlaster USB soundcards work well.

What i have noticed is that with usb dac (govibe usb dac) there is no static so i can live with that setup . Without the dac there is interference probably from the electrical parts of the laptop . If i use a usb soundcard will the audio quality improve as well ?

You're pretty much good to go with the GoVibe USB DAC, I would just stick with that personally. I'm not sure how portable your solution needs to be however there are other options like FiiO E10 or Topping D1 MK2 for around $80-$100 that will probably offer improvements, for a bit more there's plenty of options like Aune T1 tube dac/amp. but if you need to keep things simple then GoVibe is fine. The most improvement will always come from the headphone or IEM upgrades and your money is best spent in that area.

Long as there's no noise interfering with your listening experience.

Yes, that's the correct cable, like a printer. I don't think it comes with a cable (Ele DAC) . But you can pick them up for just a few dollars.

Thanks a lot , you 've been very helpful . I 've just ordered the ele dac and a usb a-b cable 5pin . I will test it once it comes with my other dac govibe
