Hey guys, I am looking to go with some gradoey sound, and would like to get the sr80's or ms-1's.

I am wondering which one has more quatitative bass. I know the MS-1 is better at everything else really... and I am leaning towards the MS-1's too since they seem to improve a lot with an amp.

The MS-1 has excellent bass, so don't worry about that. If you want really good Grado bass, then the SR225 is the ticket.

ok, thank you guys, So MS-1 it is.. Now I have to call up aless. to see if I order tomorrow when I would get them... I am defintely not gonna wait 4+ weeks like some people has for the cans!

Also, what kind of pads does the MS-1 use?

Oh, BTW, at thier homepage, there's two options for the MS-1, one just the can, and the other says mini-plug adaptor. What adaptor is the mini-plug? and is it gonna be permanently stuck on the cord?

they come with comfy pads, like the sr60. some people like them but i really suggest the senn 414 pads with quarter sized hole cut in them. i found the comfys to sound a bit muddy in comparison.
