SR60 vs MS-1?

Gday guys,
I was just wondering which was better out of the two headphones above? Or is the MS-1 just a rebranded version of the SR60?
I'd primarily be using it for my ipod. Would either of these headphones stay on my head if I walked around a lot? (at a moderate pace?)
I've got some KSC-75s on the way but I might exchange it.

The MS1 is comparable to the SR80/125 from Grado.
I never heard the 60 but I found the MS1 to be a good step up from the SR80 which I heard at a shop.
Imho the MS1 must be much more refined than the SR60 and it's just the gateway drug to Grado.

The MS1 is not a rebranded SR60. All of the Alessandro headphones made by Grado use different drivers than their Grado cousins.

Personally I think that the only better headphone value than the MS1 (for $100) is the KSC75 (for $20). The KSC75 is an awesome headphone for the money, probably boasting the biggest bang-for-the-buck out there. However, if you're looking for something a bit beefier than the Koss clip-ons and don't require any isolation then the MS1 is a great, fun headphone. Sounds fantastic straight out of portable sources and it improves if you throw a little amplification at it. You can't go wrong with it IMO.

MS1 sounds better to my ears, and it's not a rebadged SR60. They will stay on your head with walking, but probably not running.

In every respect, I prefer the Alessandros to their Grado counterparts.

Buy the MS-1.

MS-1s are less harsh and more balanced to my ears, compared to the SR-60/80s.

I'm looking at grado phones as well and want to use them w/ my computer through an audigy soundcard (will get that upgraded soon). I'm trying to decide btwn the 60/80 and MS1 ... in other words would the 80 or the MS1 be worth the extra dough unamped?

Hey guys, thanks for the replies.
I'm still tossing up whether it's worth buying the MS-1s because I'll be using it a lot on the train and all that sound quality will be wasted

Does it justify the extra $85 from the KSC-75s? (in Australia KSC-75 is about $65, MS-1 $150) because those will be coming in today.

If you're gonna use them in portable situations, then no, MS-1s are not worth buying over the KSC75s. But if it's going to be home cans, then yes. I find that KSC75s lack the sonic refinements of the MS-1s, such as more realistic cymbal crashes and a much less harsh sound.
And both the MS-1s and SR-80s are pretty good unamped. Both don't really need an amp to sound its best.

can someone tell me if the MS-1 also have the same type of sibilance and top end of the SR-80 ? How do they both compare in that area ?

I have the MS-1's and SR-125's, the 125's are alot more harsh than the MS-1's and overall I prefer the MS-1's.
