I am currently building a Beta22, almost done in fact. I just need to solder 5 small parts Jeff from GlassJarAudio forgot to include.
I also need to finish the chassis, which is why I'm posting here.

I want to spray paint the front panel of my chassis black. However I want to have some text on there as well.
What would be the best way to do this? I was personally thinking of putting on the primer, and then putting on small sticker letters, and then doing the final layers of paint. This way the text will have the color of the primer.

Is there maybe a better way to do this?

Take a look at making your own silkscreen.  There are many ways to do it inexpensively and easily at home.  Silkscreening was widely used on old equipment.

I've also considered taking a sheet of aluminum to an engraver.  Have him engrave text on the sheet, then I'll use a scrollsaw or jigsaw to cut the piece into small plates that I can screw to the chassis.
