As much as I enjoy listening to music from this thing, my biggest complaint is the occassional random " spitting " sound that it passes to the output from time to time. It makes 2 of them " spit spit" and doesnt interupt anything, i have the most updated drivers and patchmix, and to the best of my recollection it does this on both of my partitions.

Does anyone have any suggestions for this?

thanks

uhmm, try directsound, kernel streaming, asio and wavout for outputs, make sure the thread priority is high in foobar2000 and screw with the buffer sizes.

If the problems happen outside of foobar, check for shared IRQ's. If it's sharing with another device, try disabling some unused stuff in your bios (serial, sata, parallel (printer)) whatever isnt being used then move the e-mu to a different PCI slot.

If none of that works, email e-mu tech support, they've been really helpful from my past experiences..
