Hey guys I want spend 2000euro for DAC, 3500euro for active speaker, iem for 600euro, iMac 21,5 1200euro. Thats over 7K euros for only audio! I am just amateur listener and I have saved this money almost one year. If my salary was for example 2500euro per month than ok but it is really not. So am I crazy? :D

Well Kopi, we are all crazy. I once used to think it was a waste to spend more than $100 on headphones. In the eyes of non-audio enthusiasts there is no such thing as normal here.

That being said, if you have a partner it might be important to discuss it first. Most girlfriends / wives wouldn't be too happy with such large investments.

I think everyone on this forum is a bit crazy, but in a good way. If you spend alot of time listening to music and enjoy it then why not?

It all depends on how financially responsible you are, and how much you wanna spend on a hobby. Always be careful and treat this as hobby only, not a necessity. As long as you do that, it's fine to go nuts. People don't get hobbies that they are not into, this is true for any hobby. For example, I don't get why my friend would spend 3k on a watch, similarly he doesn't get why I would spend hundreds on headphones. It's all good

You could be happy with equipment that costs a lot less, like a DAC for $400 and $1000 for a pair of speakers.
