I would love to come to this meet, as I have never been to one and live in CA. I don't have any gear of note, but I would love to help around. I'd love to try out some high-end gear so I know what I should step up to soon. Thanks to Levi for setting this up.

Sounds great @Z3ph3r, feel free to come at 9:30 to help set up & mingle if you'd like. This event is only 6 hours total with a strict 4pm check-out to make way for the next event, so make the six hours count

@HeadAmpTeam I'm so excited about your new gear to showcase I thought I'd reply here for us all to read.

So let me get this straight: your new DAC called Holo Spring does native DSD in multibit / R2R mode (exactly what I was seeking), is cheaper than the Yggy and was said to sound even better than it? Also does it play both PCM and DSD, both as R2R? What else can you share on it? And YES please bring it.

Also I'm sure we'd like to try your HEK (Hifiman HE-1000) v2. headphones as well. What else can you bring, other than these and the old SR-009 setup?

Yes, the Holo Audio Spring DAC does both DSD and PCM on linear-compensated R2R networks, using fully-discrete DAC boards.  It's an excellent sounding product and a recent addition to our demo rig. We do not sell/manufacture this product, but there is an extensive thread about it here: http://www.head-fi.org/t/810065/holo-audio-spring-r2r-dac/315

At this point I plan to bring a rig using that DAC with our GS-X MkII Headphone Amp, and the HE-1000 V2.

I have recently moved to SF and I will try and make it there! If anybody is going from SF or East Bay/Sacramento, I'd be happy if you can give me a ride and I can share the gas bill.

@Rainstar that's an astounding setup. I hope you can make the most of the time we have there. Would you please set up on the same table as me? I've been meaning to try my Elise tube amp with a power conditioner for some time now, and would love to share an outlet from yours (Shunyata Venom PS8).

I found a photo of your Cary audio Sli 80 Ultimate edition Integrated Tube amp - is this the one? And would you mind to tell us generally how much these go for?

@HeadAmpTeam, welcome aboard once again - we're looking forward to it.

@Jozurr Welcome also. User @Packdemon is driving from Sacramento so should be able to give you a ride there if you contact him, but he may need to leave a tad early. Also about transit, I have my own car just now so no need to help me with a ride... though if someone needs a ride from the Milpitas / North or East San Jose area, feel free to ask.

Also here's the unusual post-event that you may have seen me mention while talking about this meet on the L.A. CanJam thread:

From 4:30-6pm in the same community room there is a Youth Science Enthusiasts Club happening.

https://events.sjpl.org/event/youth_science_enthusiasts_science_club

My thinking was that most of us hi-fi audio enthusiasts would also be interested in a science event, but unfortunately the library has said that they can't give us permission to join this event which is focused on children grades 3-6, but we "can ask a facilitator once their event starts, if it would be alright to observe." So anyone keen on hanging out a while for a science fair type of event may have the chance to do so, but I can't make any guarantees - it would be dependent on what the instructor says.

This event must start settping up at 4:00pm, so I would like to remind everybody that clean-up for our meet starts at 3:30pm, and I recommend to come early to make the most out of these rare six hours on November 26th... honestly I recall last year not being able to hear everything with eight hours

Also @HeadAmpTeam would you be able to bring more than one of your Holo Audio Spring DAC's, so we can also (carefully) try one with other amps?

I only have one, as they are in very short supply from their US supplier, Kitsune HIFI. I would definitely be willing for folks to try mixing and matching our components in their systems, though.

heya levi, would love to set up next to you. I have the Ferrari/Porche Red version less than a dozen exist. It uses Solid State rectifiers instead of tube So mine is rectifier-less http://www.soldano.com/amp-help/tube-vs-solid-state-rectifiers/

~msrp $6500 I spent a fraction of that
