SoundMagic E50 & E80 - Story of Two Magicians - A Review...

E80 is better for clarity, stage, and detail though not by a big difference. The bigger, airier E80 should be better for soundtracks and classical.

So, What is this ST80?? A sport version of the E80 with Earhooks?? Or an EH11 tweak?

As you can maybe make out: E80, ST80, then P55 etc.

We can certainly supply this item, but we do not list it on Amazon. It might be better for you to contact our friends at Hifi Headphones, who can provide this item, along with the other SoundMAGIC products you require. Contact details can be found at their site: http://www.hifiheadphones.co.uk

Thank you for the reply!

Hifiheadphones do not ship to Croatia as far as I've seen on their website, would it be possible to purchase this from you directly?
If not I might order some universal clip-on from eBay as an alternative.

Someone said the E80 is harder to drive than the Tenore.  Is that true?  With Tenore and Youtube on my Nexus 6, even max volume is not loud enough.

In my experience, loud volume can be achieved with smartphone, but does it have the nice body? I believe there are reason why its rated 64ohm.

Okay yesterday I audition a couple of dap and dac amp at Sony center here in KLCC.

Now I really understand what @Zelda means by TRANSPARENCY.. its been bugging me for a while whether E80 actually harsh sounding compared to other TOTL iem.

E80 will react accordingly with different DAP and amp / source. Makes me wonder if I should invest in DAP like Shanling / iBasso or upgrade to another iem like FLC8s.

Truth is I haven't done discovering the potential of E80.

I believe I have...

Grab yourself an LG V10 (or G5 with B&O module) the E80 kick in the 'High Impedance' mode, and - that makes a world of difference!

Something to note though, the volume (gain) jumps up by quite a considerable value over the 'Normal' mode, so - make sure that you've lowered the volume before hitting play!

(FWIW, UAPP plays VERY nicely with this combination)

Lately I've been preferring my tomahawk earbud over e80. It surpassed e80 in almost everything except the sub bass and presence. E80 left and right music presence is still superb. Love those lifelike strings sound.
