Been trialling a friend's hf-2s and must say I'm mightily impressed by the overall ballance, top end detail and ability to handly treble energy without sibilance. Especially true given their price.

However, I've got a bit more money burning a hole in my pocket and would like to go for some thing a bit.... "more". Possibly more low end definition and more detail throughout the sonic range. I will be listening to mainly through my hifi cd player and headphones amp.

Any ideas? Thanks?

Perhaps Westone UM3x but then the price nearly trebles

ER4P? Same ety signature, but higher up the chain. Although they may have less bass then the HF series.

My RE0 are bass light too, but they have great clarity so I just EQ the bass up (on my rockboxed clip) for more impact. Works great, YMMV with etys though. The dynamic driver in the RE0 really responds well to it.
