Soundcard for S/PDIF out

Hehe. I know quite well what you mean. Even though aesthetics don't really matter for sound quality, there's some peace of mind in knowing you got exactly what you wanted :)

Are the Q701 the only option you considered?

Haha there's no way in hell I'm going to take lousy compromises now, the Q701 seems like the perfect headphone for me in its price range.
I'd either get a black/white one second hand or get the lime one new anyway, really I'm determined to get this thing :)

EDIT: The cheapest shop here in holland sells the damn thing for €400 while (converted currency) its under €200 in US shops/second hand.

And yeah, I'm not paying €200 for a color lol

OMG, I've seen the Adidas version of the HD 25-1 II being sold at a €125 premium over the regular version, but €200 more for a color option (isn't even a custom color) is madness.

Still, you might want to just get a black or white one new (or used if you're ok with it) and contact Colorware (http://www.colorware.com/default.aspx) about having the exact color you want on them.

Well, I derived the €200 from comparing the dutch price of the black version to the american price of the green version, which isn't really a fair comparison. But still, yeah, I care a bit for aesthetics, but I wouldn't even pay a quarter of that price for a color on a headphone man. It's on my head most of the time anyway so I won't even see it :D:D

Hmm headroom has it for $270+$40 shipping...
Guess I'll be waiting until I can build my new rig and sell my old and see how much I'm able to spend :)
