SOUNDAWARE M1(PRO) Portable Player with Proprietary FPGA Architecture

Something I might add: Most players, if you hit the back button within 4-10 seconds of the beginning of the track will go to the previous track, but after 4-10 seconds have passed will go to the beginning of the track playing. As far as I can tell, the M1 only goes back a track, and not back to the beginning of a playing track. I'd like to add that as a feature suggestion, that after, say, 7 seconds of a track playing, the back button will jump to the beginning of the current track and not the previous track.

I agree. It's frustrating behavior. The Aune M2 does this, too.

SOUNDAWARE also needs to make better use of the top bar.

Got it. Thanks! I have passed the suggestion to our R&D department. They are developing new version software, as some little bugs still should be developed.

sonickarma:

Here's what I suggest:
• Go to PowerOff Option
• Set Auto PowerOff to Never
• Set Smart PowerOff to 10 minutes
• Set Power Key Setting to Long Press Sleep

This will prevent Esther from fully shutting off. Instead, it'll go into a "deep sleep" mode. If you won't use it for several days, go back in and set Power Key Setting to Long Press Shut Down.

See if that helps. Cheers!

The scenario you described is actually in the User Manual @sonickarma. I know because I was helping Mary edit the User Manual. Here's my edited version, which may look a bit different from what's in your User Manual but is basically the same content.

PowerOff Option
  1.  Auto PowerOff: The M1 will power off automatically after the specified time.
  2.  Smart PowerOff: The M1 will power off if inactive for the specified time.
  3.  Power Key Setting: Long press the power button to Standby or Shutdown.
  4.  NOTE: If Shutdown is selected, the M1 must be connected to the USB cable to restart the player. This requirement will be removed in a future firmware release.

Check that last bullet point. Hope this gets fixed soon. Any word on that @soundaware?

Do these descriptions help?

Thanks for that - my manual wasn't in English . Is there a digital/pdf manual available in english?

Not that I'm aware of, but if Mary's ok with it I can send you a copy of either the original or my edited version. What do you think @soundaware?

And the one I got in for review has an English manual. Probably a newer inclusion...

@soundaware, My Unit Vitality Esther, i am currently experiencing crackling sounds inbetween tracks and transistion. Do i need to send it back for a checkup?

How long do the crackling sounds last? Does it occur on the same format?
