Looks like it can take an SD card and you do not need to connect it to a computer or network
It has a digital output

Anything else on the market that has these features in a non portable device?

If I recall there was a $400 Cd player from china (maybe 10 years ago) (shannling or something similar) that competed with any CD player at the time less than 2K.   It needed a voltage converter.   Not sure if China adheres to the patent restrictions and may have copied a high end player ?

I contacted the manufacturer and asked him(her) to post.  I did not realize he (she) already posted about it a year and a half ago

I think this will blow away the Sony Hapz1es and any other stand alone player.  I have looked at all the offerings from pioneer, sony, cambrage and Marantz and they do not have half the features this thing has.

Not sure why this never caught on

I am planning on buying the soundware A280.  I'll post my review. The Cary is too rich for my blood

I changed the title as not many people have noticed this thread.  I've gone through the archive's and many members were looking for something exactly like this
