I thought this was how ThieAudio's Hype series made their bass drivers, but I could be wrong

Do you have any recommendations? They are very willing to listen to feedback

Bass is not ever the problem with Sound Ryhme the upper mids and Pina rise just need to be tamed, I love the bass of the DTE900 and would not change a thing with the driver or tuning of the low end.

I am not sure who is open to listening at SR put me in touch please glad to help out.
Has to be different person than PENON as Mr. Hui certainly is not taking input from the community.

I agree completely, this is what I told them and shared an adjusted graph of how I would try to go about it:
Balance things out a pinch, but most importantly, not sacrificing the resolution, detail and fun sound

With the change here, I would probably buy it again. And the way SR show the driver of the two DDs you will get similar implementation as ThieAudio Hype Series and Monarch MK3 and also AüR Audio Aurora. Excellent for quality bass performance.

I think it very much depends on how the 'clamshell' is implemented. I loved the Auroras' bass quality, there was certainly no issue there. SR need to speak to Abel .

Hype 10 uses BA as well as2 DD for the bass that's why it sounds so good.

Wanted to share a little tease for an upcoming series coming from Sound Rhyme:

Configuration is going to be 2DD+6BA+4EST
Rumor has it they will use 2 x 9.2mm DDs used in the DTE900; something I'm sure a lot of us can agree is quite impressive on its own

Some of us were no doubt surprised by the price of Prado. This new model is going to be more aligned with the SR8 and DTE900 in price and something I personally am extremely excited for!

No ETA yet for when the product will be released, as they want to perfect the tuning before release.

Lastly, an early picture of the combined 9.2mm DDs (not finalized)

Okay, I just got a confirmation from SoundRhyme that this is not an official release for now. It is what they are developing for someone, and they will see if it will be suitable for a wider audience or not. So, this is going to be a long, long wait.

Just sharing.

While dicussing the customized faceplate for DTE900 on AliExpress, I asked them "how about trying something new, doing the Odin-like faceplate with a little twist with different colors and shells", and then this is the result.

About the sound, yep I prefer the Odin over DTE900 but DTE is not far from behind with that energetic tonality (Odin is more relaxing).

Sup guys, dte900 owner here... I bought it recently and I dont find the dark/green tips, its my fault they came within the box... but I am fine with the other blue/grey ones but just curious if theres any sound differences between both, just in case I cant find them, to order them on penon or not

do you think its worth for someone to get DT900 if already owns PENON 10th AE ???? just thought asking that man.....i am a BIG TIME FAN OF BIG THUNDEROUS BASS you know.......................................my favorite signature lies somewhere between the 10TH AE ,SZA and EST50s from ISN AUDIO.................

We must have the same ears. It looks like we've gone down the same path of IEMs. Loving the EST50 at the moment with the Cadmus 8W. Also love the Szalayi but for different reasons. I tried the 10th AE but found the EST50 to be better. And now I'm looking at the DTE900. From what I've read so far, it sounds like it's what we're looking for.

wah! OK, the audio chain is long here lol when we give so much care to an IEM, i think it mean it's a love affair.
i guess the 75ohm adapter is too avoid unwanted gain imbalance or distortion...

im a bit curious about the cable, will give a look...

DTE500 still in my ears but with different cable, well i tested Simgot LC7 on Questyle M15 and was impress but it introduce some warmth.


Sincerly, again, vocal are to die for, or any instrument in fact...from saxo to harpsichord and then acoustic guitar...but soundstage is quite immense in fact....im listening to Big Thief indie rock album, so electric guitar sound good too, the bass line can be super well extracted and dense, life like some time...not sure it's as good with super speedy electric or double bass havent test yet...

I'm surprise you EQ them to get UM MK3 tonality, its one of my fav IEM of all time, my end game in fact....but i'm too purist to EQ (or need a reason to collect them all)

Im sure these can handle alot of EQ.

as well, the DTE500 wasn't send to me out of the blue, i check the graph and was intrigue by them. i ''EQ'' with different DAP, Xduoo X20 boost nothing and even had a bit of upper mids presence....it have very clean noise floor too...it will make sibilant IEM sound ultra sibilant and its not the case at all here.

I like those shells. What pattern is that?

been really puzzled a month ago on that one among others there and i finally ended up getting ORIVETI OH700VB which proved to be A TOTALLY BOMBASTIC FASCINATING EXPERIENCE to my humble ears i must tell , it's the most 3D holographic stage i encountered thus far at this hobby retails at 699$ and worths every single penny ........the BASS is sooooooooooooooooooooo freakingly AMAZING there, the depth,the holography,the spatiality , i suggest to take a look at the ORIVETI new iems 2023/2024 thread before make your mind about anything else , and not trying to rush you here in any quick descicion man just read some owner's opinions before getting something JUST BECAUSE as you say "we must have the same ears" well this one........BLEW MY MIND T O T A L L Y , the most organic , natural and coloured monitor i ve heard thus far ..............with vocals / bass & stage to die for.......................the impact is unbelievable man......do you self a favor and do some reading in the thread................
Not to mention the fact that if you prefer EST50s over the 10TH then........there's absolutely no question about it...........OH700VB if much more closer to EST50s than DTE900 100% THAT IS ..............

If you get the chance to pair it with a Cadmus 8W, do it. I can't describe how much it improves the EST50. It becomes an absolute beast.
