Get either the NEC-3550A or BenQ DW1655, two of the best burners available now.

Now youve gotta figure out a way to hook up those multimedia speakers up to the Juli@.

Lite-on usually make OK drive at affordable price.
I trusted that, so I bought one. So, do i like mine?
It works flawlessly but the noise... Oh...God.
So, Please read user reviews before you buy.
If they said its noisy, that means it could drive you nuts.

My personal recommendation is LG or Panasonic.
They are little expensive but never had any problem with them.

Maybe its just me, but I picked up the Juli@ about two months ago on a rec on here and couldn't tell the difference between using that and the stock in my Dell Dimension e520. Running out of a penguin caffeine dac (yea not the greatest), but I could tell a far larger difference between the amped vs. unamped with AKG 240s then Juli@ vs. stock.

Thanks

I own EMU 0404 USB and HD595. I'm satisfied with this configuration. EMU has enought power to drive HD595. I usualy listen to 1/3 - 1/2 of max volume. Because of no linux drivers for EMU, i use it as external DAC via coax S/PDIF with my onboard ALC655 sound card.

I found the analog outs of the Juli@ to be pretty poor. Easily beaten by an old Sony discman. Haven't tried the digiouts.

Ha, That's funny.

The Juli@ is very very good , When I downgraded from the Lavry DA10 to the juli@, the transition was not painful.

Ok what's the best for clarity (sound quality)?
Prices not an issue
Will be using a pretty good 5.1 system
