Sound Blaster X-Fi MB3 is a software solution, but I can't tell how well it compares to some of Creative's hardware solutions, such as:
- Sound Blaster X-Fi Go! Pro
- Sound Blaster Recon 3D
- Sound Blaster Omni Surround 5.1 USB Sound Card
- Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro USB Sound Card
Can anyone provide a summary of what it does/does not do/provide compared to those other products? Does it provide the same as the hardware solutions, but just uses your CPU instead of a hardware-chip (Creative Core, etc.)?
I'm currently running a laptop with Realtek audio, but it came with THX TruStudio Pro. That pushes via S/PDIF to an Astro Mixamp (the 2012 version) to my A40 headset.
