+1, I've got significantly less battery time since the first Lollipop update :(

I don't find any battery issue since Lollipop, try to keep Stamina "on" with most connectivity off while in your pocket you won't received notifications until you turn the screen on but it will help improving the autonomy, I have about 2 days of usage with 2-3hrs of music, 1hr of call+messenger , web browsing for 2hrs on wifi and 1hr of clash of clans per day. As long as you don't use 4G the battery is ok

I use Stamina. Turning off notification is not an option for me since the phone is my office ;)

Interesting with the 4g because I don't have much battery drain using it but a lot when on WiFi.........

For me with the same settings Lollipop has less battery life than Kit Kat had.

There're some improvements within batches also, my first Z3 was a real waste in terms of everything except its SQ, when I repurchased it about 3 weeks ago I feel that there're improvements in every department. Your unit was bought this year or last year? It might explain the origin of those issues.

i dont want to carry lots of stuff like any DAC right now i am using Vivo xshot and found amazing audio detail due using high end audio chip i heard vivo X5max also has lots of high end audio chip . What is Sony xperia doing . hoping good from Z5 and also waiting for review of Marshall London phone. but Vivo x5max sound really great except there will be not much update.

Sabre ES9018K2M DAC, Yamaha YSS-205X signal processor, Sabre ES9601 headphoneamp and 2x OPA1612 amplifier. is this close audio to fiio X3?

Xperia phones will never get the S-Master design. It is too expensive and costly to do right. The proofs =Zx1/Zx2 Walkman. However the Xperia may be benefit from the ESS DAC. Not sure how VIVO is, but non of their phone work in the U.S. .....it is a bummer ..

I too do not want too many stuff to carry with. My combination is my avatar. Total audio nirvana

Anyone try the Bphone from VietNam ? According to the hardware page, Bphone support 24bit/192KHz.
I hear that phone have better sound quality overall better than Z3 and iphone 6. Bphone got flat bass, but amazing treb, 1 of my friend said that Treb in Bphone can compare to Ibasso DX90.

Hey guys! Anyone of you have compared the Z3 with a Galaxy with an Exynos?
I want to upgrade my Xperia M2 and I don't know if I buy a Z3 or a Galaxy Alpha (w/ Exynos), which in my country is like $150 dollars cheaper than the Z3, also wanting to buy a new Over the ear headphones, if I buy the Alpha I can afford also the Sony MDR-1R, but if I buy the Z3 I have to stay with my old Sony MDR-ZX600,so what do you think guys, what is worthy?

Galaxy exynos is a joke....the background is like standing in a flee market and listening through your opened back headphones. Get the Qualcomm snapdragon version. I personally experienced the Snap Dragon Note 4 VS Exynos VS Z3. The Snapdragon is sligh step behind Z3 but not too bad. Currently I have N4 Exynos, and I hate the thing in Audio quality so badly.....

Well my interest in the Galaxy Alpha is not just for the Exynos alone, it's because his Wolfson Dac according to what I have found, because the Samsung flagships with Snapdragon doesn't have this, so technically it should give a better sound quality in comparison to my actual phone.
Most phones with Snapdragons doesn't have proccessors or chips dedicated for music (except for the Z3, according to what I have read in this thread)
My alternative choice instead of the Alpha would be a Xperia Z1, I can get it like $40 dollars cheaper than the Alpha, but I don't think there were much sound quality upgrade with my actual phone and personally I haven't listen any phone with a Wolson or Cirrus Dac to know if they are better than at least my Snapdragon 400, but definetively I tested a Z3 and I heard much clarity and definition, so I don't what would be better
