Sony Electronics wants to interview me for a job for the Sales Associate position. I may get a chance to get the XBA-H3. :D

Brave ordering a pair from japan??
- is that a risky thing to do?

I was considering buying a pair off eBay
and they are shipped from japan....

It sounds like maybe I should not "
Actually after reading the no returns accepted
Statement I defiantly won't ...

I'll wait for wider availability I think

Ordering from overseas is very safe in the modern world, companies like PayPal offer high levels of protection.
Back in the day you just sent off a money order in an envelope and hoped for the best, that was brave.

Just bought some xba-1 while waiting for my h3s, since I returned my xba-30s. Seem nice enough for £22 uk. Lacking low end and struggles with poorly encoded music but on high quality files it's fine except for lacking low-to-mid punch without eq.

perfect description. agree.

How do you burn them in?

preheat an oven on 210 degrees Celsius and put your phones in it for about 3 hours...

seriously though - you just listen to music that way the diaphragm will work in and reach optimal mechanical condition. if you want to make this process faster, leave your phones overnight on different noises/frequency swipes at high volumes. you could do this for about a week or two..
