As the title suggests thanks to the forum i have narrowed down my research to these particular earphones which i believe are all in the category "Basshead" which is what i look for in an earphone i currently have owned the CX-500 and XB-20s where the xb20s produced cleaner and better quality bass with similar quantity. 
 
I want a large quantity of bass but wouldnt like the highs and mids to be hindered...Can anybody reflect back on these earphones many thanks...My budget is about $80...Many thanks

Has22fas    which one did u get ? im also thinking of getting XB40EX ,   if u got xb40 can you tell me how does they sound in the lower end ?

I own the XB40EX, and I'd recommend both the Hippo VB and the MEElectronics M11+ (specifically the M11+, as the M11 is a different IEM) over the XB40EX.

ah thanks for the recommendation Hydrocharged. I think i do know of a local store which sells M11+
 
Hydrocharged how would u compare Xb40 with M11+  and hippos ?
