The pictures below depict my PFR-V1s with the very simple but effective "grommet" mod. This substantially improves the bass response without adversely affecting the imaging or superb detail of this unique headphone.

The grommets are 1/2" pass-thru grommets, available at any hardware department. The groove on the outside has a faucet washer that fits it very nicely.

Do the grommets fit inside or outside the ear canal?

I think the grommet I picked up is way to big on O.D.

Do you happen to know what the O.D. of yours are? I also used a #15 O Ring.
