Sony NWZ-A810 Full Review
Dec 19, 2007 at 12:56 PM Post #31 of 110
The earbuds that came with my NWZ-S616 are horrible also. I even tried burning them in for 48 hours..still horrible...But then again I never use the buds that come with any of my units, usually don't even take them out of the packet. That's ok though the buds that come with Cowon's are horrible to..

Dude, seriously, burn them for at least 100 hours. I don't mind buying them for $10 though

wait just so we're clear, this 818 player has drag and drop compatability? There's absolutely nothing I have to install? I'm sorry if I'm beating a dead horse, it just seems REALLY out of place for sony to do something user-friendly like this haha

Well , although they are stock buds they are actually alt version of EX85 which retailed for around $50 dollars. I have never tried yuin product so I have no idea how PK2 sounds. Anyway, those "stock buds" are decent headphones and I don't mind buying those from you for $10 (it's a really good offer for "stock buds" you know

HD595 needs to more POWER !

HD 595 are easily driven by 8xx, these cans are 50 ohms impedence. I have them and they sound awesome with the sony.

HD595 are indeed 50ohms. And the S616 has no problem driving them. It has no problem driving the 64ohm HD280 Pro either. Easily gets more then comfortable loud with anything I've tried it. But of course keep in mind comfortable level is different for everyone. I really never listen at more then 15/30 vol. And that's rare. I usually prefer 10/30 on the S616. I find it it's loud enough and the player can keep all the detail and dynamics at very low volume. So my loud enough might be 'to figgin' quite' for someone else

Sony definitely under rated the power figure. It doesn't go as loud as some Cowon's, but it is PLENTY loud enough.
