Does anyone in here use YouTube music? I’ve found a weird bug that I didn’t experience on my old ZX-507, when I download playlists and later try to play those offline the album covers don’t show up. I’ve been thinking of switching to another streaming service , I’ve only been using it since it comes with my YouTube Premium, I’ve noticed that the app uses a lot more battery than the Sony Walkman one. I think I just have to bite the bullet and get my music in files and just use an SD card instead.

You don’t need an expensive DAP for YouTube Music. It’s the worst quality audio, even Spotify is far better.
I doubt many use it.

@nioh thanks for your update, I think that user is just a rare case and unlucky that he purchased a faulty ZX707.

No problem. It’s more likely an incompatible or faulty microSD card.

Yeah I agree, I only use it since I practically get it for free, I’ve signed up for a free 4 month Apple Music subscription, and going to stop using YouTube music altogether.

I use it to discover new music and then just buy/listen offline.

It's very comfortable and easy with an Android DAP to just buy music and instantly download+listen to it

Yeah after just listening to a few songs here in Apple Music , it’s shocking how much better the quality is.

Previously Sony made a hi end memory card, maximum is 64GB, it was made for these music players but cost about 17000 yen, May be if people who lives in Japan searched abit they might find one.

I had one but it got corrupted and died.

They no longer sell it as the issue these solved no longer exists.

So should not cheap garbage but every average card from like SanDisk is totally fine

I stuck my Sandisk 1TB Extreme Pro into my ZX707, pulled straight from my NW-ZX2, no problem, works like a charm.

I knew it was total BS when I heard about that so called 512Gb limitation. That would have been suicide for Sony sales if true.

FromJapan when they have 10% off Rakuten (approx twice per month), from e-earphones seller (on rakuten). This way at least you save some British bucks on import tax... (you'll have to pay UK VAT on import, so be ready)

Just got a japanese NW-ZX707 from an eBay seller. Paired with XBA-N3 headphones and a balanced cable. I have to say this is huge improvement from my NW-ZX2. The sound is quite sublime. My one peeve is that the side buttons are not as responsive as they could be. Certainly not as responsive as the NW-ZX2. It's bigger than the NW-ZX2, but noticeably lighter.
