How do I get the ZX507 to display album artwork for DSD format file?
You are using an out of date browser. It may not display this or other websites correctly.
You should upgrade or use an alternative browser.

I used to listen at volume level of 55 with low gain, but now I have to go up to 70 with high gain.
EDIT: Never mind, media volume was somehow all the way down in the setting.

Is anyone listening with GoneMad Music Player? The volume seems to have decreased dramatically after the latest FW update.

Seems like the whole android audio path has become softer. I am pushing to 80 on high gain with my ier-m9 with youtube music. I think there's more adjustment headroom now. Only after 80 that I find it becomes unbearably loud. I did check that my media volume is set all the way to the right.
I think Sony might have done changes to the loudness curve and the walkman's overall dynamic range presentation in relation to volume set.
I find that compared to the previous firmware, the peak music loudness can go even louder than the volume cap you set. I think this might be a good or bad thing. You get to hear softer details and music can go dynamically louder. But this might affect the average sound loudness on hard to drive Headphones, making them sound softer or running out of volume control increment.

Found it in Sony help guides...
“You can add cover art images for albums manually so that the image will appear on “Music player”. First, rename the image file with the same name as the folder for the album. (Do not change the extension for the image file at this time.) Then, add the image file to the folder for the album.
“Music player” displays the following files for cover art images.”

I tried this method, but it does not work......
Hi. I have updated to the latest firmware 3.0. Yes, DSEE is amazing but I have noticed that the 4.4mm output is now significantly less loud. Especially with using Amazon Music HD i have to set volume 10-15 steps higher.
btw I have have Japanese version.

I also set mine to 75 after the update. My usual volume was around 60 on 4.4mm out.

what format pic?
the name must be exactly the same as the album folder. I just used this on a DSD album last night and it worked.
suggest you just copy and paste the name of the album folder and add the jpg extension to the pic.
Yes, I copy-&-paste the folder name to the pic file (jpg). But it still does not display on my ZX507.what format pic?

Over at twitter, if you search zx507 or DSEE ultimate. The Japanese audiophiles are singing praises on the new firmware's sound quality improvements.

Not a lot of tweets are getting huge exposure though...at least finally DSEE has been accepted - most listeners reject it!

Have you forced a db update afterwards in the Sony music app?
Edit: I just checked as I have dsd albums and mine are just tagged with the album art cover and It's displayed correctly. The .jpg or .png files naming seems necessary when there is not tagging method such as .wav files. I use mp3tag software myself. Free and effective.

Here's mines. I can't figure out which version it is but it sure does sounds sooooo good.
Here is my current setup as well. Got some Hart audio cable kit coming in, this one too long.

The picture file must be baseline jpeg, and not progressive. Google it. There are many ways to convert to baseline, and it has been discussed extensively.Yes, I copy-&-paste the folder name to the pic file (jpg). But it still does not display on my ZX507.
