I just got home and I already can 100% confirm that my international model is very very different from my Japan here how it looks like.

Behind box there is no letters to identify the region, there is a sticker on barcode saying international!

2 the back of my zx507 is not plain rubber like the japan it has an idea plate for current information.

3 does not come WITH SONY DUST PLUGS 😪😓😥😢😭

4 need to turn it on and try the sound haha.
who did you buy it from looks the same as mine, funny they listed as a Japanese model from memory checking now

has anyone noticed a crackle when skipping songs with the Back/Forward soft button on the Walkman app after the new firmware?
also, when selecting songs from the touchscreen. it's quite pronounced for me now. i think someone mentioned before but this is much louder/noticeable.
oddly it doesn't happen with the physical buttons.

a bit more testing on this... it happens on some albums only and does not matter if these were bought as digital or ripped. happens to DSDs and FLACs, even the DSD songs that came with the Walkman. while on those albums or songs from those albums, any song skipping back/forward or time slide with touchscreen will induce a crackle. maybe I will try a reset later, though I hate to lose the sound that I have now. physical buttons is probably the way forward.

@Vitaly2017 if my memory serves me well enough:

V2.01 removed mid bass bloat from V1.x. Hi-res streaming mode introduced. Hi-res streaming mode On didn't image too well. Hi-res streaming mode off has better vocal imaging.

V2.02 Hi-res streaming mode gains better imaging and proper 3D like sound processing.

V3 DSEE Ultimate

:L3000:Yep, same seller. I had some stuttering on initial setup with Amazon music. Did all the tweaks except ditching play store completely. (much improved UI speed and stability) I have to say im blown away the sound im getting from my 64 Audio A12t's is amazing, (stock cable) I am patiently waiting to get my Leonidas II's back from effect audio. The treble was always shrill on my SR15 and the bass was weak, bass is stunning now and the soundstage is exceptional, I love it. 64 Audio is definitely a great pairing

As far as sound enhancements go with the A12t's at least DSEE HX enabled only seems to be the best setting for me. Thanks for all the information, guides and community

I find that the Hi-Res Streaming On and DSEE Ultimate now integrates together to reproduce a very authentic soundstage that is derived from the actual microphone recording.

This is not present with all recordings but it will be present in live concert recordings. There is actual very noticable spacial distance information between the singer and his/her microphone placement and the size of the studio/concert hall/live stage

Your iem/headphones will play a huge part in recreating this level of imaging accuracy and you probably need to listen on 4.4mm balanced to best experience this effect. Closing your eyes will also help to improve the experience.

You can temporary disable playstore and re-enable when you need to perform updates to apps(on a per month basis?)

I find that playstore still does have a very slight effect(under 5% percentage) on sound quality. You need to restart the walkman after disabling playstore to enjoy the better SQ. The differences is more for those who seek perfection in Sound quality, most people cannot notice this so easily.
