What ? Lol Dx160 isn’t warm enough ?

To me? Not really. I don’t really care for warmth either but my preferences are changing a bit. I find the DX160 at times to be a bit thin and sterile sounding. Pairs amazingly with my M5 but I think my A18s could use a bit more.

my Oriolus Reborn really shines a light on the differences in favor of the ZX507 over the Hiby R5. ZX507 has taller, deeper soundstage and overall a more 3D presentation. Better resolution across the sound spectrum too

Agreed. My ZX2 still holds battery pretty well after more than 3 years of use.

I don't own zx-507, so I can't compare. As a matter of fact, I was thinking of replacing my zx2 with a new zx507, but I can't make up my mind yet. Battery life is the main issue that's holding me back. So rather than giving my opinion in that comparison, I'd rather ask for opinions from people who have heard/owned both.

I’ve got both, the ZX507 is better in every way except battery life. SQ wise it’s a big step up especially with balanced

This will be interesting on the community, Sony Australia has raised the prices on most of their audio stuff wonder if this will have a ripple effect worldwide. Knowing how much A2A had an affect on the the second hand market as well they have raised their prices and don't expect any more huge discounts that they used to do. The zx507 was raised from about $1200aud to $1499aud and both the Wm1a/z raised even more.

Yeah, now is not a good time to buy any audiophile gear here in Aus let’s hope things change by 2021

Yeah the prices are looking scary here.
Aussies can still import from Japan for under $1200aud though, total was $1080 to my door when I imported a couple weeks ago.
Local warranty is nice though.
I would have spent the extra for local but I really wanted the silver model and we only have black here.

wow, got it just in time for $1200. $300 is a massive jump.

Never-mind solved, did a system reset and ZX507 is thumping again.

Also media volume got screwed up, for example, with 1.00 I was using the same volume setting between walkman app and youtube, now I need nearly double the volume in youtube compared to the walkman app.

Check Settings->Sound, the Media Volume slider is all the way to the right (max volume). The Volume slider above corresponds to your WM hardware volume (buttons).
