​I will try balanced son, as hoping monday arrival of my balanced adapter cables for Z5 and mdr-Z7.
 
LDAC nah i dont do BT as i dont have any bluettoth HPs yet
 
in SE i find the Z5 are driven perfectly well not boomy bass, very controlled bass and very very smooth signature, nothing stands out

Do you know that the successor of the ZX100 wil be unveiled in a couple of months? The ZX100 is already two years old, the new version is just a couple of months away. Just saying.

You can eliminate the EU volume limit on non-Android models using the appropriate tool:

Yes, I know... But I prefer the headphones on bottom of the device and I'm not sure about side controls when on the move,

I'm a little paranoid if US model has got the volume cap, hope not,
