No probs ! Depending on what you're connecting to, do you need another connecting cable, besides ??

I'm connecting a Sony NW-ZX100 to a Chord Mojo.

I think I just need a micro USB cable and one comes with the Mojo so I should be set. I'm following this --->

I know it's a NWZ-A17, but in principle it should work the same. Anyway, I'll soon find out.

There are many different type of cables to connect WM port to micro USB, but the accessory cables offered by Sony is the best. I posted some info here

Looking for a player to replace my ancient (but extremely durable) NW-HD5 20gb, I was considering either this or the less expensive A25 until I found out the A25 is made of plastic. Considering I put my hd5 in my back pocket and sit on it all the time, that's unacceptable. How is the ZX100 for durability? Is it safe to put in my back pocket?

If your HD player did last you this long then the ZX100 should work even better.  Given its memory is a solidstate based then I don't think you have much to worry about.  I personally think the battery will give out before the player myself.  How long since you have the NW-HD5?  I still have the pocket Vaio MP3 player but it hasn't been used in the last 5 years.

I bought it used like 7 years ago. The other thing I'm worried about is the ability to change the battery, is it even possible? I like how on the hd5 I can change it in like 10 seconds.

I'm sure we will figure it out.  But man, you gain so much capacity and likely on sound quality as well.  Plus you can use it as a high quality digital transport via its USB output.  That's a great feature!

Hi guys,

I just got my NW-ZX100 today. It's really good! A big step up from NW-A25.
I'm using it with ACS Encore (volume at 11-15).
I was thinking to get Onkyo DP-X1... but it's big and all the features which I don't need.... geeee.

The size is great that's for sure as well as the long battery life.

ZX100 frame is made from aluminum (single block CNC'ed) and for me is pretty durable

What about the screen, is that just as strong as the rest of the body or am I gonna have to put this in my front pocket instead?

The answer to your question is available already in this thread at an earlier stage. Funny thing this search function is....

But the answer is: the screen is plastic and is not on par with the build quality of the housing.
