As I said, I did a comparison side by side with my ZX1 in the Sony building on the IFA. To me they sound exactly equal in a short comparison, which is good, as I like the sound of the ZX1. I am satisfied with the battery life of my ZX1 right now and the build quality of the ZX100 is sub par compared. I can skip this one easily.

But errrr abdroid on a media player sucks, stupid apps you don't need (experience on my cell phone stupid apps of my carrier i dont need and they can't be uninstalled)
 
But yay my xperia cellphone battery lats two weeks
 
for @pietcux maybe the increase in SQ is not apparent but i assume who will notice a big increase of SQ is those coming from A10 or older walkmen / othe DAPs

Looking at the Japanese spec page, it looks like it may not come with the NC earbuds in Japan.

Comparing that to the UK site, it clearly comes with earbuds (MDR-NW750N or MDR-NW750NE):

Thans looks nice finlly with earbuds an NC is nice for a noisy offie or airplane, but most likely i will be suign it with my XBA-A3

I don't see your logic.  I don't think Sony will discontinue the ZX100 when they release a replacement for the ZX2 because they are in a different market segment.  I wonder what would be Sony's take on the A&K 380 as well as price tag.

Do the QP1R magic
Make it proper balanced not like ZX2
But keep that Sony voodoo battery life but with that output power of the QP1R
Increase the size, thickness and weight if you have too, but don't go past Paw Gold
Oh and slap a sim cart slot, for phone or 4G. I don't care if you wanna call it Xperia Z-ZX
Charge me $5K if you want I won't care. A&K might match it when they increased their prices over the next 4 versions...and the Tera reaching price above the Orpheus

I had A15 and tried the JR, the JR won by miles, and also A15 released before the JR announced by AK.

Did I say sony will discontinue it???? where?? I meant just get this haha before sony releases another one (replacing ZX2 not the 100)
 
ZX2 looks good but the price tag... blah, i'll get this one for a start and trying my first "audiophile" Sony walkman

No slight on FiiO because James and his team are really doing some amazing stuff lately, but I hope it's better.  The Sony architecture is more advanced and I really like what they do with their "sound enhancements."  It's not quite BBE-level but really good.

I had a fiio x3 I, while it had good sound, some quircks made me put to auction on eBay and here , weird soundstage and battery life and buggy ui
 
i am already saving up for my ZX100, agree with @SoulSyde enhancemenst are good and sony archtitecture is way more advanced (the kings of miniaturization). waiting for my new XBA-A3, will burn those with my current A17
