The buyer returned my WM1AM2 because it got backlight bleed on the Lcd, I usually didn't notice it because I hardly crank the brightness up high.
The local sony service center couldn't help me saying that supply parts are no longer in production.
I may put mine in Sony Singapore for service but afraid that the results will be the same.

Worst case scenario is get stuck with the problem until the new generation/buy a DAP that has local support with similar sound in the future.
Sorry for a little bit of rant, but I guess I'm stuck with it for now.

Put it on sale with this disclaimer and serious buyer will get it. This device is obviously not developed to watch Netflix

The thing is that this is how these players normally are, right?

There shouldn't be any need for a disclaimer in this case.

All the ones I saw in stores , including mine, show this issue after a while. It’s only noticeable at high brightness settings, and certainly doesn’t make it sound worse :)

Same complaint when I got my unit. (Lost somewhere in this thread). Had Sony SG replace the panel - resolved the issue.

Was yours still under warranty when they agreed to replace it?

My unit was a PH unit (last unit available during pandemic period). Sony SG won't cover it and even if it where an SG unit, they still won't cover it under warranty as the unit is fully functional. Tried to make my case but they won't budge. My last Sony unit to say the least.

Guess I will fly to SG 😁

Whats the turnaround time?

If I'm not mistaken, 1 week.

I’ll give that a try, thank you. I didn’t know it existed. Which one did you use?
This one is the best imo.
It helped on my case(mine is very severe bleeding),but i hope you bring the good news

That is so ridiculous! I expect my Walkman to be able to run Call of Duty Warzone at 120fps! Don’t tell me what I do with my devices. I paid money for this.
