Does it really? Is it the case that the NW-WM1ZM2 is made in Japan and the 1AM2 in China?

My ZM2, and everyone else's, was made in China.
OK, so it was said in jest.
On another subject, can anyone confirm that the NW-WM1ZM2/A1M2 does not apply crossfeed on any playback mode (i.e., direct, DSEE, etc.)? This seems to be my conclusion when A/B-ing using the Mojo2/Hugo2, but wanted to confirm in case I missed a toggle somewhere.

I should add that this sounds absolutely wonderful. I think this DAP has a wonderful mix of warmth with plenty of detail still.
I bought the U.S. version so that High Gain is enabled but it's really not necessary with the Empyrean or the Elites.
Battery life is a bit poor (I have disabled as many Google apps as I can) but it's good enough for me as I rarely use for more than an hour or so at a time and it turns off after a while to save battery.
The in-built Sony App sounds best (closely followed by the Qobuz and Tidal Apps) but then Roon and Roon arc are not bit perfect through Android.

I do not yet have this device but I'm looking at purchasing it soon.
Does it play Qobuz, Apple, YouTube Music through the Sony app?

The Sony app is for playing local files on the device itself or an SD Card. I put a 1tb Micro SD card in mine.I do not yet have this device but I'm looking at purchasing it soon.

Since it is open Android all apps should work. I use Tidal and Qobuz which are bit perfect (and sound awesome). I also use Roon Arc but this is not bit perfect but rather CD Quality (still sounds great).
Not tried Apple Music myself.

tidal is rolling it out for android.
but qobuz never mentioned a similar statement.
When I play a 24/192kHz track this bitrate is displayed on the app. Whether or not it's compressed beforehand I cannot say. Sounds great though.how to you know that qobuz is bitperfect?

displayed on the qobuz app? It is maybe just the file that is available on the qobuz server, but the standard android mixer kicks in afterwards and downgrades it.When I play a 24/192kHz track this bitrate is displayed on the app. Whether or not it's compressed beforehand I cannot say. the same with a standard laptop. I can adjust to hi-res and it shows hi-res on the win 11 qobuz app... But with the 3,5mm jack and win 11 mixer, you don't get it.
Yes of course you may be right. You can't see the true signal path as you can in Roon.displayed on the qobuz app? It is maybe just the file that is available on the qobuz server, but the standard android mixer kicks in afterwards and downgrades it.

hi guys, does anyone know which company offers battery replacement and output repair for old wm1a/z model? I am located in US but wouldn't mind sending to anywhere else
