I use the Sony Music Center for ripping Audio CDs, it embedds the coverart in the FLAC in the correct size so it is displayed by the Walkman just fine.

He can also do that on files that are already there, fully automatically. So you dont have to download the art or anything, the software detects the right cover art based on the Infos in the file, downloads it and embeds it.

this is true but if it already had cover art but it was categorized as back cover or something else, it won't display correctly on the dap

Just heard the new walkmans and glad i got my wm1am2 on Day One, still a keeper and ticks all the boxes for me. No upgrade/sidegrade itch (though as a sony fanboy i wanted to upgrade haha) but nope, after 10 months the wm1am2 remains my go to dap for all types of music using my trusty old ie800s, UE tf10 and shure se846

And it drives pretty much all Headphones out on the market.

Even though a lot of people will tell different, it can even drive something like the D8000 or the Venus easily at low gain out of the 3.5mm(!) and that is the crippled output with 25% of power.

My only hope is Sony release a grid view for the walkman app. Scrolling through my library isn't fine.
However the new firmware made the app more snappy. I feel the sound is less warm now, specially when using the DSD remastering.

You mean 1.05 firmware ?

I’ll say this much I love my WM1Z M2 with ie900 and U12T, so far I am in heaven.

I'm noticing the filter changes on DSD far more than I can remember on the previous FW, to me it is not a bad thing tbh.

I too am enjoying my IEMs -Indigo and FatFreq MM with WM1Z. Great DAP
Good deep bass, warm sound and good treble is hallmark of it.

With DSD on I don’t at all find the ie900 too spicy for my taste. I’ve had some moments with u12t where I feel the treble was a little on the upper side. But I can listen for hours with either.

The major improvement is the treeble, the coherence and a upgrade soundstage. I really impress with the general sound of this DAP.

It might not be as cool on paper as some others - but I have no issues, everting is just working as it should. Buttons are solid, everything feels like it’s a step up from the others on the market. It’s a safe and very solid option.

I updated too. My case, click on DSD operations has gone.

I agree with you. The build quality is superb, is like a little tank. My previous DAP was Fiio m11 Plus LTD and the thing i like most of the Sony is that not burns when a i play more than 30 mins XD
