Does anyone have any recent information as to when there will be availability for purchase for these DAPs in the USA? I am aware that they are currently available through a few retail web sites in Japan.

According to latest reviews on Amazon.de and Amazon.co.uk, the EU version of NW-WM1AM2 (with silly volume limit) is still good enough for IEMs.
I have an IEM from Sennheiser, the IE-300, with original 4.4mm MMCX balanced adapter cable.
Can anybody here with an EU device and this Sennheiser IEM (or IEM with similar specs) confirm that the NW-WM1AM2 is loud enough for this IEM ?

Other question, in case above question is positively confirmed:
I'm planning to travel to London Heathrow in December this year by plane. This would allow me purchase the NW-WM1AM2 tax-free. Anybody here familiar with Heathrow airport ? Is there an electronics shop selling Sony stuff ?

I'm in Singapore. I didn't order my 1zm2, I basically just called a store and they have it in stock, hence i just walked in to purchase. Albeit its the last piece till September if I recall correctly

How about the DSD engine, does it also work via digital out (for streaming w apple music)?

I used apple music and I can confirmed usb digital out is bit perfect by using apple music app (I saw 44.1khz, 48khz, 96khz at my DAC that match apple description).

DSD engine, DESEE, etc all cannot be activated.

And when you connect the usb, it will asked you whether allow your external device access the Sony Music app, if you click ‘yes’, the Apple Music app will not output sound, so click ‘no’.

For reference, I found that my system is sound better (or different) when using WM1AM2 than my macbook and AK kann alpha as streamer. (Dont ask me why digital can be different.)

Thank you. I should check before spreading false information. The cable I bought from them shipped from New York, and with their site having usd (among other currencies), I falsely assumed. Also I'm sure they're not jerks, but they're expensive.

Yes, me too, minus the tax thanks to the touristic visa. Had to check number of Biccameras to find one with stock, though.
