Agreed. I too only use Tidal (rarely) and Sony Walkman apps. I have not used an email client, browser, ect. I feel the WM1A M2 is as quick as my phone.

Okay, another thing I noticed. Sometimes, I like to add selected tracks to the play queue, not playlist. To be honest... I couldn't believe it. Sometimes, this needs about 4 seconds, and a short message may appear to not turn off the unit during this... no comment

Why not...? It won't die from that. No LDAC phone and no LDAC speaker/HP, but Cr'apdroid

Based on many of your posts, why not sell it and swap for something else? It doesn't seem right for you.

Personally, no regrets, knew it wouldn't be fast but when its playing through some good IEM's it sounds fabulous. What a DAP is for really, play music better than my smartphone.

PS. I hate volume wheels and only pick DAPs with buttons

No, unfortunately there’s no digital out function. I’ve just tried connecting my L&P W2 and the 1ZM2 will power the dongle, but it won’t output any sound/music. There’s no option to turn on digital out via usb either.

Edit - got it to work. It does indeed work as a digital output.

Just to add to @Damz87 ’s post, the digital out applies to the streaming apps as well. Tested this morning with Apple Music and QQ Music. Into the Luxury & Precision P6Pro Obsidian.

I have run into connection issues with the M2 when connecting it to a Sony TAZ. There is no digital out to the rear USB-B port when streaming from Apps. Or it could be a TAZ issue? My iPad Pro streams fine to this port tho. Any other TAZ owners tried to stream to the TAZ rear port with the M2? Thanks @Kiats for your help with this. I did put the question to Sony AU but no luck there either.
