there is a card stated that the player needs 200hrs to reach the optimum sound quality. anyway, I have been hearing music for an hour. The sound quality of the final product is better than the demo unit... The background is so dark, may be "empty" is a better word to describe how well WM1Z M2 controls the noise.
Essential for my SE846's, others I have are not so sensitive. The Shure's always highlight any background hiss.

Don’t hold your breathe , but I think DMP Z1 MKII is around the corner.

Because the new Walkman has solved the problems that plagued the DMP and forced Sony hands to be using AKM chips instead

Now, all problems :

A/ DSD - Remastering
B/ FPGA to work with portable S-Master
C/ Noises canceling by hybrid amps similar to TA-ZH1ES

Are solved

DMP Z1 MKII May sport 4x portable S-Master that can be found inside Walkman

Don’t hold your breathe but ready your wallet

So, have you tried SE846 on WM1Z M2? perhaps it's time to upgrade ur IEM as well. many good IEMs hit the market recently
I also have K10U and FD7. Will never let go of my SE846's.

I'm really liking the single Berilium dynamic driver in the FD7's.

I'm in UK so its not even released here yet. They sounded fine, no hiss on the ZX507.

I'm not one for constantly replacing IEM's. My K10U's are still fabulous but a bit too large. SE846 and FD7 are super comfy in my ears with Spinfit or Startip silicon tips.

OMG, I tried many times, the existing Bluetooth remote control still cannot pair up with WM1Z M2...

Big thumbs up for WM1Z M2 on the very very low heat dissipation, even I put it in the plastic-like leather case. When I touch the case or the body itself, the rise in temperature is minimal, amazing!

If you mean the small, shiny black Sony one I never got that to work with my ZX507 but I thought it was already confirmed in thread it does work with M2

If they are fine on ZX507, then should be more than OK on WM1Z M2 or WM1A M2. As your IEMs are not so demanding, WM1Z M2 or WM1A M2 should drive them well~
