sony mdrv300

I just bought a pair of sony mdrv300's. they sounds pretty damn good but i was wondering what everyone else though since i dont know anything about headphones

return them if you can and pick up the sony v6. similar design to the v300 but much MUCH better in sound and build quality.

Well, they probably sound a little better than your typical stock headphones, but there are MUCH better headphones out there. Like the Sony V6, as redshifter mentioned. In general, any of the Sony V*00 line are not worth the money.

I started out with V300's as my first pair of better than pcpd bundled cans, the V6's sound soooooooooo much better, try to buy them any way possible

The Koss cheapies make the Sony V300 sound real bad.

They're probably cheaper as well.

The Sony MDR-V6 are $70 online somewhere.. I've heard they've been sold as low as 60, too...

DO NOT confuse these with the Sony MDR-V600. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME HEADPHONES.

The Porta-Pros are a decent choice, though you should also try out the KSC-35 and 50, as they are most highly-regarded Koss cheapies.
