Hey guys I have this very strange thing - my Z7M2 seem to generate a buzzing sound every when I try to load any game with them (PC). HD800s don’t do that and Z7M2 don’t buzz unless I start a game.

What can it be? I tried both cables.
Source - Topping A90 /d10 balanced (again no other headphones do that)

Clean the connectors. Probably moisture developing on the connectors causing static

I really hope they get a new batch again.

For me, the MDR-Z7M2 embodies perfectly what a good closed back is supposed to be.
Durable but still low weight, pleasing aesthetics and insanely comfortable, like a leather couch you can relax on after a hard day at work with a corresponding sound to match.
Well, I am probably exaggerating a little but thats what I'm hoping it will be like ;D

I got lucky and got one with help from my brother. A colleague of his stays in Japan for 3 weeks for vacation, and he was able to snatch one for about 400€ at a local Sony store. Now I just have to endure the agonizing wait until he is back in Germany

Great work! Yeah, I'm not sure either. I doubt they'd just stop selling them, and I doubt there's a new model coming so soon, perhaps it's just stock shortages...

So i bought new pads for the z7m2. Don't quite like how they affect the sound. They are pretty flat unlike the stock's contoured shape. I'll give them a bit of time and maybe i can adjust to the sound.

Turns out the pad's orientation was wrong. Its def more balanced now but i did seem to notice that it paired better on my entry level a105 compared to my cayin n8

I'm more into the clean black stock look but I like the idea of custom work, nice.

I own the Z7 and asked on the thread but haven't had any success with a response so I thought I'd try here. I use the Sony Kimber cable but find it quite unpleasant to use due to the weave/sheath causing odd twists and kinks making it awkward to handle and then coil up into my storage case. The GUcraftsman 6N copper cable seems like an nicely priced alternative, does anyone have experience with it or can please offer a similarly priced custom copper cable that could match the MUC-B20SB1 specs?
